Nanchang Normal College is a full-time public undergraduate normal university. Its predecessor is Jiangxi Secondary Teachers'Further Education School, which was established in 1952. It was renamed Nanchang Normal College in 1956 and Jiangxi Education College was founded in 1958. It is one of the eight earliest undergraduate universities in Jiangxi Province. The first governor, Comrade Shao Shiping, is the school. The name of the school was inscribed by hand. In 1969, it merged with Jiangxi Normal College and Jiangxi University in liberal arts. It has successively become a part of Jinggangshan University and Jiangxi Normal College. Jiangxi Education College was restored in 1979 and renamed Nanchang Normal College with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the provincial government in 2013. There are two campuses, Changbei and Qingshan Lake, covering an area of 569.3 million squaremeters.
